Time flies at the speed of an aircraft. And now I am a senior and about to bid farewell to my beloved Faculty. I could remember my first Opening Ceremony, when I was still rather simple-minded and incredibly naive, the sky was blue and the birds were chirping (happening in my super childish mind). Upon arriving at Dinh Tien Hoang Campus, my heart kept thumping ferociously due to my indescribable excitement. Then, the stage in Block D welcomed me and other freshmen with the awesome musical performances of EFA. Plus, I was also impressed by Ms Tuyền Tăng, she was a beautiful and tactful MC with perfect English. So I knew that EF was going to be a dynamic environment for me to "get immersed" and pursue my "carp-into-dragon" journey. To be honest, I was saturated with hopes and rather optimistic about my next 4 years, which was not an easy path for me because I had to support myself financially after I had quitted FTU. Besides, I was under great pressure as a result of my promise to my parents that I would be successful if I was bestowed a chance to re-take another university degree. It was just like no-turning-back situation and you bet all of your pride and future into one single chance: a life gamble. And one more important thing, that day was also the first day I met my best friend during my campus life: Ms. Minh Thảo, a great thank to her for suffering from me for such a long time. And she also confessed to me she had a crush on me that day but she gradually changed her mind a few days later without explaining me why?????

My first Opening Ceremony was a turning point in my life, introducing me to a brand-new world of academic stuffs and extracurricular activities. That was the time that I had to balance between my studying and social works. Sometimes, I was downed to hell when my family persuaded me to quit EF and find a job to make both ends meet. Fortunately, my mother never gave up on me; she trusted me whole-heartedly as she always does, and provided me with basic things to survive in Ho Chi Minh City. Moreover, my Auntie also gave me some financial support every month to get me out of starvation and encouraged me to keep moving forward.

At EF, it came as a destiny when I was guided and taught by the dedicated and knowledgeable teachers here: Mr. Dũng, Ms. Thắm, Ms. Nữ Anh, Mr. Xuân Triều, Ms. Thủy Thương, Ms. Kim Tuyến, Ms. Nhã Trúc, Ms. Anh Chi, Ms. Nhất Tâm, Ms. Vân Di. They were just like "walking into my dark mind and light a match". Thanks to them, I grew up a lot and became more confident with my English. In my 3rd year, I also got a chance to study Syntax with Mr. Hector, a professor of Georgetown University in the USA, and Syntax really piqued my interest. From then on, I have set my heart on learning more about Linguistics.

Today... 27/08/2018... I joined another Opening Ceremony and it was also my final. It was hard for me to suppress my emotions... Wow... 4 years has gone by and I am going to walk into the "cruel" society out there and materialize my life-long mission. And a voice echoed in my head today: "No matter where I am or what I am doing or who I am with, I WILL ALWAYS HONESTLY TRULY COMPLETELY LOVE EF"...
