ABOUT ME...

Hi, my name is Minh Phuoc. At present, I am a senior student of The Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature. My hometown is Tay Ninh, a province to the west of Ho Chi Minh City and has a great reputation for "rice paper" and "chili salt". 

As I am aware of myself, I am a nerdy person. Reading books has always been my number-one hobby. I am a big fan of Jane Austen - an accomplished novel writer in the 19th century. She was a master of English language, her novels depicts the hypocritical society of England in the Victorian Era as well as entertaining love affairs. Moreover, I love swimming, which helps me relax and recharge my energy.

My future goal is to become a lecturer at USSH and teach Theoretical Linguistics. There are 3 reasons I chose this path. Firstly, my love for English is so immense that I want to conquer every aspect of English, even doing research into it. Secondly, working with students at universities gives me a feeling of intimacy and comfort because they are very friendly and open-minded. Last but not least, I want to contribute to the development of Vietnam through my scientific studies. To be specific, my aim is to help Vietnamese students to overcome the fear of learning foreign languages and successfully get blended into the world.
