The drama came to me as a destiny while I was just surfing the Internet for my favorite TV show "Glee". "The Vampire diaries" could easily catch my attention thanks to its mysterious and magnificent poster. At first glance, one thought popped out of my head: "This may be not that good, but I'll give it a shot". Netflix is not a non-paid website, you need to subscribe if you want HD scenes. Fortunately, it offered you one-month experience for free and my ego could not refuse that. Then, I clicked on the "Play" button of Episode 1.
"Vampire Diaries" has its setting in a town called Mystic Fall where people are totally unaware of the existence of blood-thirsty creatures hiding in the dark. Elena, a miserable but handsome teenager who has gone through the greatest loss of her life: the death of her parents. Her misery seems to be fading away on her acquaintance with Stefan- a man with a secretive life- and then a passionate love. Elena struggles through the arcane relationship with Stefan, not knowing what is looming in the woods and so willing to drain her blood. Wow, am I scaring you? Haha, luckily, Stefan is not an evil vampire, he sustains his "vegetarian life" without killing anyone. Besides, he is a reclusive loner living for over 145 years to overcome his long-rooted love for Katherine - his ex-lover who died years ago. Immortality has brought him misery rather than a joyous life. And there comes his brother Damon who is also a vampire. A cold-blooded man, I guess, he will tear you into pieces and enjoy till the last droplet of your oozy blood. Yet, there is something called "human" in him, I am not sure but I still admire his personality. Just need more time to figure out. Damon possesses an enchanting face, which is the most dangerous weapon of his.
Still a long way to the end of the drama. And I cannot take my eyes off the laptop screen. I love one saying in it: "The sun came up, the reality set in". Life is not always a dream, sometimes, it might even stab you with the dagger of truth, pulling you out of what I call "Alice's Wonder Land". Nevertheless, that makes life worth living. It is bittersweet chocolate, not deceitful candy...
